The 2024 Elsevier and Scopus citation rankings have again named Dr. Manuel B. Garcia, the Founding Director of the Educational Innovation and Technology Hub (EdITH), among the top two percent of scientists worldwide. He ranked 35,182nd worldwide and sixth in the Philippines.

Elsevier posted the recent iteration of the rankings on September 18, 2024, in its “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators.”

The prestigious list identifies the world’s leading researchers, representing an estimated two percent of scientists worldwide. It includes standardized data on citations, h-index, and a broad range of bibliometric indicators. The list draws from the Scopus data provided by Elsevier through its International Center for the Study of Research (ICSR) Lab. Based on Science-Metrix's established classification system, researchers are classified into 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields.
