Single-Use, Lasting Damage.
Delve into the lasting effects of single-use plastics and learn sustainable practices to promote a greener, more responsible future.

About this event
The proliferation of single-use plastics has become a pressing global environmental issue. These plastics, often used once and discarded, contribute heavily to land and marine pollution, environmental degradation, and climate change. As future leaders, students in tertiary institutions must be informed about the environmental, social, and health impacts of single-use plastics and be equipped with knowledge on sustainable alternatives.
This seminar aims to raise awareness, foster critical discussions, and encourage behavioral change among students. By promoting conscious choices and sustainable practices, the activity aligns with SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 14 (Life Below Water), and SDG 15 (Life on Land). It empowers students to take part in addressing one of today’s most urgent environmental challenges and contribute to building a more sustainable future.
