About this event

The course, GED0007 (Art Appreciation), provides a venue for students to perform and participate in different visual, auditory, and performing arts through the ARTwakening Festival 2024 and celebration of United Nations Day. “Beauty Beyond Borders: Cultivating a Culture of Peace” will be the theme of this event anchored on the advocacies of United Nations promoting peace, unity, cooperation, equality, security, justice, and love.  

The ARTwakening Festival aims to:  

1.  showcase the student's creativity through the artistic expression of visual, auditory, and combined arts in a multicultural environment,  
2.  expose the students to various United Nation member countries values, traditions and cultural heritage, and   
3. promote multiculturalism, democracy, freedom, sovereignty, and self-determination through performances.  

This one (1) day event will be held on November 7, 2024, from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm at the Student Plaza. Students will participate in six (6) major activities namely: 1. Ambassador and Ambassadress of the Nations, 2. Arch/Booth Making Activity, 3. Cultural Dances, 4. Song Performances, 5. Video Essays, and 6. Flavors of the World (Delicacies).
